Membership
Annual fees are currently set at $475 but fees can be paid on a semester basis ($250 x2).
As stated every participant in YBP are members, have equal voting power and can choose to be present in committee meetings, to directly be involved in the running of the organisation.
Every student, who plays in VYWE and JMYB, and who are up to date with their fees, are such members. They are known as musical members.
The parents of children, VYWE and JMYB are also members, however they are classified as non-musical members. These parents are automatically non-musical members, and are not obligated to pay further membership fees beyond their children’s annual fees.
Individuals who wish to be non-musical members, and are not parents of musical members, can apply for membership, and are obligated to pay a small non-musical membership fee.
For those applying for an audition, it must be acknowledged that audition fees are non-refundable, however auditions can be re-scheduled.
Auditions include two prepared works of contrasting nature, sight reading, and some technical work.
